‘I cannot recommend Vanessa highly enough!
From the initial consultation (including the most perfect colour match for my bespoke dress for my son’s wedding), the fitting process through to the final product, the level of expertise and professionalism offered was exemplary. Vanessa is incredibly talented and nothing was too much trouble.

Utterly professional, extremely creative and incredibly efficient.
As MOTB I was finding the outfit process very stressful until I met with Vanessa. Armed with only a tiny piece of the dress fabric Vanessa and her fabulous creativity walked me through different styles, listened carefully to my every comment and we very swiftly found the perfect headpiece.
From there the entire process continued in the same outstandingly professional and very friendly way. Just two appointments later I had my bespoke MOTB headpiece and Vanessa's interpretation of my wish list was spot on! The combination was perfect.
So much so that I can honestly say I have never felt so good as I did the day I wore my Vanessa Brett creation as MOTB. I truly felt fabulous, and didn't take my creation off until I really had no choice.

I was so amazed with the finished item I had no words, I can truly say the hat had so many compliments on the day and surely that's what Millinery is all about, to make the person who wears it feel a million dollars and get that many compliments. I really couldn't have been happier with the result. I was really blessed to meet Vanessa, sometimes you meet people for a reason and that reason was to make me look amazing. Thank you so much for my wonderful hat which drew many compliments at my son’s wedding. Thank you for your advice and guidance throughout the design process. It really helped to see many of your other designs and to hear you very calmly tell me you could accommodate any style I chose! Your suggestion of the green embellishment worked really well with the outfit and drew the entire outfit together so that everyone assumed dress and hat had come as a ‘designed’ outfit. Thank you also for taking the time with the fittings to ensure the hat not only looked great but fitted comfortably and correctly so that I didn’t need to adjust it once throughout the day.

.....On the day of the wedding, we were delighted to receive abundant compliments about our headpieces and, as Mother of the Bride, I was surprised how much confidence I gained from wearing such a beautiful headpiece. It gave me a sense of belonging to the occasion and emboldened me in the task of hosting our guests. All in all, Vanessa’s headpieces were tremendous value, and ordering them was one of the finest experiences we had in the run up to the wedding. Our purchases embellished the day beyond simply looking special, but feeling special too. We’re converted to hats!

From the very first contact by phone, Vanessa had an amazing ability to put you at ease and listen to you as a client. My first visit to the studio was relaxed, inspiring and a great success. .....The headpiece was just incredible. It was even nicer than I had possibly imagined, and I could not wait to wear it at my daughter’s wedding. Vanessa took the time for me to try it on and keep it on for a while to make sure it fitted comfortably. Initially, it didn’t feel 100% secure, so she spent the time with me still there to adjust it and add extra padding, until both she and I and were both totally happy that it fitted absolutely perfectly. She then carefully wrapped and packed it in a beautiful hat box. I could not wait now until the wedding to wear it. On the wedding day itself, I felt me so special and important that I did not want to take it off until it was bedtime!

I visited Vanessa at Brett Millinery on a recommendation. The lovely venue was welcoming and I was made to feel very welcome by Vanessa.
The range displayed was beautiful and I was immediately drawn to one design. The fascinator was colour matched bespoke to my mother of the bride outfit. This was made within the time frame given. I was absolutely delighted when I went to collect the finished bespoke fascinator. It is absolutely beautiful and very well made. My son is getting married in December and I will definitely be ordering another bespoke fascinator from Vanessa.

This July I was tasked with organising a traditional English wedding for my son and his Japanese wife in just 6 weeks. I needed a hat for myself and one for the mother of the bride who was only to arrive in England 2 days before the wedding. She has never worn a hat before as this is not a custom in Japan but was adamant and excited that she wanted one. I didn't know where to start but Vanessa came to my rescue. During an extremely professional yet non threatening consultation Vanessa was able to put me at my ease and suggest the best options, despite not being able to meet the mother if the bride in advance. I was able to look at and try on a fabulous range of hats and fascinators myself and her suggestions were perfect.
My outfit was gold and she showed me how to add a splash of colour to brighten the whole outfit and even matched it with a beautiful hand made corsage which made the outfit. I have 2 more forthcoming weddings and Vanessa will be able to change the colour of the embellishments in order that I can wear the hat again with different outfits making it extremely good value for money. As for the mother if the bride, she literally squeaked with delight when she was presented with a beautiful piece that exactly matched her outfit. She couldn't wait to put it on and it made her day.
Vanessa's creativity and flair, as well as her personable and professional approach made the whole process easy and the hats she makes by hand are of exceptional quality and value for money. I would recommend her to anyone
